Meet the Founder

Promised the label was founded in July of 2022 by Hannah, a Western Sydney Mum of two, Leo & Zara. She has been married to Sam since 2018 & they live on Dharug land.

Hannah has always been passionate about women, sewing & the fashion industry. She had a dream since high school to own a brand where she could sew what she sold. Her Nan was a tailor and her Mum a bridalwear seamstress so naturally, sewing was something she knew how to do from a very young age, creating clothes for her dolls.

When her son was born in 2021 she encountered difficulties breastfeeding, on top of finding it uncomfortable & awkward to feed around others in public or at parties. Devastated but prioritising her mental health, she decided to quit breastfeeding.

Hannah realised a gap in the market for aesthetic & practical breastfeeding covers. Her hope is that this simple cover can make a big difference in everyday women’s lives. Where women can feel present, comfortable & relaxed while breastfeeding their little one. By the end of 2023, the business had grown so rapidly, making it impossible for her to keep pace with the orders by sewing them alone. In order to ensure quality and spend more time with her family, she made the decision to transition to manufacturing.

Hannah’s desire for women, particularly mothers, is for them to know they are loved, supported, extraordinary & not alone.
